how do I retrieve my player name PvZ2

Question

Play plant v zombies 2 on my android cell. Linked to a Google+ account. Player name is suddenly blank and my Google + player name is too many characters. All my progress shows on leader boards under my google + account but without knowing player name game makes me start over. How can I recover my player name? Emailed EA but they are ignoring me. I will just give up and not play if I really have to start over.

Have you gone through help.ea.com for support to email us?
