On what platform is it occurring and are you seeing an error message of any kind?

Easy solution, like the person above said, start the app in airplane mode, once you get past the PopCap logo, re-disable airplane mode.

Hi thank you for the help. Now my app is opening but theres a message showing after some download. But I can access it when I just pressed Ok.

I had that patching fail a few days ago, too. I ended up restarting the iPad and then when I went back in, it downloaded the update properly.
