@linuxPigPen I asked chard guard how he's voting in the the upcoming election and he told me he's voting Trump because he's Orange and he promised to make the lawn great again.
A quick straw poll among the other plants shows Citron, intensive carrot, all the sunflowers, endurian, pepperpult, jack o'lantern and pumpkin also support Trump for the same reasons.

We've heard from Wall-Nut, Tall-Nut, Tangle-Kelp, Cherry-Bomb and a few others that they'll be voting Biden as they too like to bide their time (and they're old, like Biden). Although they're not a fan of Biden, they'll have to settle for him since the alternative would be 'premium-plant supremacy' as evidenced by the likes of Chomper.
On another note, Chomper's controversial activities are bringing down heat like a Level 10 Caulipower brings down destruction on a wave of zombies.
