Is the New Calendar a Buff or a Nerf?
So I asked myself the question whether the new monthly Calendar will give us more or less rewards. Even though it looks like we are getting a lot of rewards it turns out that we will only get more gems ☹️

- @PowerToss Hmmm.....however, I am not too fussed because actually I like my gems xD to buy more pinata to get more coins and to get more seeds xDD
@Perfume-shroom92 I agree. Gems are the most valuable resources in the game. Unfortunately, it looks like they will nerf the rewards for the extra hard levels to 80 gems (source) but we might see some old/new Travel Log Quests in the new version of the game: https://plantsvszombies.fandom.com/wiki/Plants_vs._Zombies_2/Upcoming_content#New_Travel_Log_icons_and_quests
I guess we will have to wait until all the changes are implemented to see whether we will get more or less gems.
- @PowerToss I am nearly there to making my world plants shiny xD making my way backwards, i am now at wild west.... so hopefully i wouldn't need to spend so much gems in about 4 months or so (depending on progress) 😛 i used to spend the 100 gems from the extra hard quest on pinatas straight after i earn it...but i have stopped doing that for such a long time. With 2 devices and playing Penny's (when i want the seeds), it only takes me about 3-4 days to earn 100 gems 🙂 I really like those old travel log quests though~~ and will definitely like having it back 🙂

- @HenryThePear It felt like forever to me too......some seeds are just so hard to get, even when you buy the pinatas....sigh.....
- @Perfume-shroom92 They always give you what you don't need the most.. for instance when I buy the jurassic pinatas,I rarely get any primal sunflower seeds... but a lot of PPM and yours.
- @HenryThePear I guess EA just want you to have more of me xDDD hahahaahahha I guess we will just have to wait for the new season to start so we can get more sun plant seeds...because i am really behind in them. Both my sunflowers haven't even reached level 7 yet, let alone close to being shiny....
- @Perfume-shroom92 Yea I think the sunflowers are even harder to level up than most of other plants xD
You are right powertoss~~~ they have changed the extra hard quest to 8 levels and hence 80 gems..... i wonder if it means my hatred for that wild west quest will lessen xDDD we shall see.....
It is definitely a nerf for this one. (June 2022. Just count the gems.....)
