Keeps getting Fatal Error

I got Plants Vs Zombies: Game of the Year Edition from Origin. 

I have a Mac. 

When I click on the Shop link, I get an error message: "FATAL ERROR Image resource not found: IMAGE_STORE_COMING_SOON". The game then crashes. 

Now that I've finished this level, the game goes to the Shop, which causes it to crash. So now I can't play the game anymore. 

Apparently this error has been around for YEARS. There was a fix back when the game was on Steam that involved creating a tiny picture to stick in the right places - but the file paths given don't seem to exist now that the game isn't on Steam anymore. 

Anyone have a fix now?
