Concur.... except only getting this random crash on my iPad Mini2. Others (iPad Mini4, iPhone6s+, iPhone11) play as usual.

Hmmm.....a new update. No one has mentioned anything here....are the guinea pigs alright? 👿

Another new plant has shown up in the almanac and i noticed that the seed levels have appeared in some profiles in the store pinatas for gems/ coins.

I updated mine this morning and can confirm it seems to be working without major surprise, however,  watching an ad for gems or coins (or any other rewards I think) does not mark the Watch an ad quest in the Travel Log as done, to get this reward, you have to actually press the Play button for this quest. 

I thought the last update was bad enough but the latest one is worse than ever

Having to wait for adds the get gems and planting a seed in zen garden is ridiculous as I don’t use seeds daily.

One of my devices is now unusable as the game won’t open without turning off the Wi-Fi 

@Lambsy65   Thanks for the heads up, I am assuming this is the new 9.7.1 update you are talking about.  

I shall try to hold on the current version a little longer just to see if there are any horror stories surfacing.

I have told my friend not to install it . There has been no benefit to the update.The bugs are still there on the penny pursuit.

I have an older phone and I’ve done the update and the penny pursuit works

The update crashed with a message 'Patching Failed' and rendered the App stuck at the boot-up screen on my old iPhone 5s.

I have to delete and re-install the APP then I realised I have so far created 67 profiles!

I think the issue was caused by the new hi-res image so this time I cancel the update and the game just started ok. 

Now I am being treated as a new player....  Hope my experience on the update can help some players who might have encountered similar issue.i

There is another new update.... I am waiting for some guinea pigs.....

@Lambsy65   Is that with IOS platform or Android? 

I ask because there has been one report on Android ending with a fatal issue where the player could no longer open the App.  It stuck on the EA boot up screen and then crashed.  Luckily, he had made backups but then found out he was put back to Soil league instead of Jade. 

I have found out what is wrong with the latest update...the thymed event kept on resetting once you exit the game. I mean at the moment i am slightly annoyed but not too much as the seeds I am interested in are all at the first reward after playing level 5... 🙂 it just meant i can keep on playing it (as the fuel will also reset) to get tigergrass and rhubarb seeds..... not my fault EA....

@Perfume-shroom92 I'm experiencing this too. The Summer Nights thymed event resets every time PvZ2 is closed out of memory on my Android phone, a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. I can go back to home and use other apps and switch back, and as long as the game is still in memory the progress persists. But if I use too many other apps and Android closes PvZ2 to free up memory, when I re-open it and it loads from scratch, the level progress is reset in Summer Nights. This is the first thymed event that has acted this way. 

9.9.x release is now confirmed to be live by the PVZ2 team from subreddit.

I hope the update should now be available from Google Play Store for all Android players and if you are still experiencing issues or have strong opinion about the changes, please make yourself heard on the link below.

I can't believe I'm playing again at all, as I lost everything on Blustacks in 2019.

Then yesterday I thought, what the hey, and installed PvZ2 on my Sony Xperia XZ1 G8431, I actually got everything back! Plants, mints, gems, coins, gauntlets, woo hoo!

The only problem I do have is I can only play Arena once a day, through the Daily Activity screen. If I click on it in the screen as (hopefully) shown below, nothing happens, as I'm already on the latest update.

Still, happy to be able to play at all - best wishes to everyone, specially Magic Daveshroom.

I have to say with all these levitator seeds through watching ads and having 2 devices...I have actually got my levitator to level 2. And it will reach level 3 soon. I am really pleased~~~~

Same issue here !

I already reinstalled the game and it didn't work. I almost lost all my progress.... now i'm scared to reinstall again. 

I have had a report from a friend of mine that the forced update message was lifted on his Samsung phone (Android device), it appears there has been a new data push to remove the planned update for now but sadly this might have been a little late as his Arena league was dropped and resulting no rewards.  It would have been nice if there is some kinds of compensation planned for these players.

Please let me know what you think and we might want to present theses to the devs.

I can now play penny's pursuit and arena on my new device without getting the messages,  but there is no update in my playstore yet so I'm still 0n 9.8.1 on my new device and 9.91 on my old device.
