Lost ALL progress after iphone/ipad sync

This is wonderful. I had a very long game going on my iPhone 4. Then I got an iPad, and I thought I'd pick it back up on the iPad instead. I was having trouble syncing the saves, so tried the suggestion here by PopCap Dana : http://forums.popcap.com/showthread.php?5844-does-icloud-save-syncing-work-yet Well it worked, but it overwrote my iphone's save with the iPad's new save, rather than the other way around. Is there a way to get my progress back, or am I boned?

    Ah, spoke too soon!  It did indeed work.  It added the two profiles together even though they were the same name, and uploaded both to both devices.  So I just had to switch profiles.  Not sure how to close topics but I have my answer.
