A couple of days ago I was playing PVZ2 on my Android and the game crashed. When I restarted the game, I lost all of my progress and all of my profiles. Mints, gems, and coins were all close to 0. It showed my player name as User Dave. Has this ever happened to anyone? It seems kind of odd that it named my player name User Dave.
I also play on iOS, so I started the game on my iPad and it synched up to the Android game, so I also lost all my progress on iOS.
I opened a case with EA for lost content, giving them a couple of screen shots of the User Dave profile and my Player ID. Today EA Help got back to me and restored my profile. So I got on iOS and my progress was back, lots of gems, coins, etc. I have several iPads and they all synced up to where I had my progress.
Then I made the mistake of starting the game on my Android. Even though the game was starting up from the player screen and my internet connection was working, it still showed my player name as User Dave. And unfortunately, the Android game synched with the EA servers and to my iPads. So I lost my profile again. I replied to my email, explaining to EA Help rep what happened and asking if they could restore my profile again. His response about 5 hours later was:
"I would like to inform you that progress for IOS will remain in IOS and progress for Android will remain in Android, so if you have any other player id for your Android device I can try and restore it on my end."
I registered my email and have been synching my game between iOS and Android for years. Did something change recently where this does not work anymore? Should I have done something different? Maybe force synched player data on iOS before trying the game on Android or re-registering my email.
Anyway I replied to his email, asking if anything changed and again asking him to restore my profile that he restored earlier today. Waiting on his response. I hope it doesn't take too long.
