Lost my content and progress!

Game: Plants vs Zombies 2

phone: android, huawei p10 plus

game id:A3202FCB-52CB-4341-A2FD-3150051EF6FE

Ok, thing is I tried to run my game a couple of days ago.  The whole thing crashed and restarted my phone.
When I got back into the game, ALL my progress and content was gone.  As if the game got reset... even asking me to play the tutorial levels.
Tried to uninstall and reinstall, then register my email again and do a sync, but still nothing.
It is a 9 year old account, so I had a few million and a few thousands of gems.

I opened a case at EA, but they marked it as solved.  Of course, not contents, plants, coins or anything.  The game just starts back from either the tutorial or if I repeat the re-install process, it tells me it has an identity conflict with the google account.  The 2 accounts it shows (including the one with my game id) don't have any significant process at all.
I know the game has been quite buggy for a while now, but wondering if there is anything that can be done?

  • When you receive an ID conflict screen, normally there should be a new ID (of your fresh install) and an old ID (your original ID) with your progress which was linked to your registered email address. 

    IF the old ID shows little or no progress, then this suggests the game save data assigned to your registered email address either has been overwritten or linked up incorrectly with a wrong file, this is an error from the server side and there is nothing you as a player can do to fix.  Your only option for recovering your old progress is to get assistance from the Help Center advisor, give him/her your original player ID and hopefully, one will spend time on restoring your old email link with the correct game save file from the back up server.

  • @simbrat An advisor emailed me this morning & they say that they can't find my game data of my Player ID. I replied to them by sending screenshots of my Player ID & the purchases I have made. Man, it sucks... I'm really scared that my progress might be gone forever... What shall I do now?

    @Shakesperian1234 Well, I really hope that they can find your game data and restore all of your progress, plants and resources. If they can't, maybe they will be kind enough to at least unlock a decent amount of plants for you to go along with the game coins and whatever else they were willing to give you.

    @Shakesperian1234 Just checking in to see what the status is of your game over the last couple of weeks. Any further progress in getting your game restored?

    Do you know where I can find my player ID number? Like everyone else on here, I went to open the game and it started back up with the tutorial like I had never been there before. It keeps prompting me to create a username and I can't find any emails or anything showing what my plants versus zombies 2 username is, I have charges on my bank statement from a couple of the plants I bought but besides that I have no idea what to do!

    @nunyacarley 

    Your player id number was in the settings menu under build version.

    I say was, because when your account data disappeared you were issued a new player id number that is utterly useless in helping you.

    You need the player id number associated with the missing account otherwise EA HELP CENTER can't/won't recover your lost account.

    If you have pvz2 on another device that hasn't updated then you could screenshot your player id number and EA HELP CENTER could retrieve your missing data.

    If you signed up to EA's email registration scheme then you could use that option to get a code sent to your email address to restore your account. 

    If you can't get the correct player id number or use the email registration scheme option, then all you can do is restart the game from scratch and EA HELP CENTER will add any items that you can provide proof of purchase for.

    There are hundreds, possibly thousands of players in your situation and EA/popcap should tell every player to screenshot and keep their player id number in a safe place BEFORE THEY START PLAYING THE GAME.

    Same here, but no crash whatsoever. I even played this morning and all was as usual. No all is gone, Level progress, 550 gems (I recently bought some for 5.99€), about 20.000 coins etc. All gone. Looks like a new profile („1“) and I can‘t choose the right one.
