I think Torchwood's triple damage is very hard to match with F2P plants, @MAGICDAVESHROOM managed to get almost 18M with peanut and reinforcemint.
For me this is a good week to grind, I'm in silver and i lose very few matches and it's a 90 second tournament.
Next week it's back to a 3 minute tournament.
Is next week also a week long event but just 3 minutes ?

I'm grinding three profiles for 2,150 crowns this week, which will give me the option to either play or get demoted next week when i shall be back in gold, if i decide to play i will probably aim to come 4th which gets me;

I don't know, I've never come 6th, the first part of the rewards is shown next to your position in the league and the first place prizes are shown if you tap on the small round "i" at the top right of the banner.
Not much though, which is one of the reasons i prefer to stay in gold.
The streak rewards are slightly better the higher you get.
Here a table of the rewards you get in each league. As 6th place in Jade League you get 78 gems and 12 mints. It's your decision if you grind this tournament or not. But with this table you can compare the league placement rewards. The good thing about this tournament is that a match is only 1min 30sec. I personally think it's a good idea to get as many crowns as possible in this tournament and then get demoted during the next three day tournament. The placement rewards won't probably be as good as for 4th place in Gold League but you will come closer to unlock Blastberry Vine 🙂

The 6th now is 181 whileI only 61, a long way to go.
@RogueYumei is correct. If you are short on gauntlets the best thing is to win 8 matches and then lose the 9th on purpose. This way you should always get 2 gauntlets in 9 matches! Because when you lose it will reset the "difficulty" of your opponents!
Edit: It's important to actually lose the 9th match and not surrender. Because you won't get any crowns if you surrender...if you lose you'll at least get one crown 😉

I do it to get the seasons reward plants for three profiles but i have lots of gauntlets saved from the old streak system.
You have plenty of time get the required number of gauntlets over the entire length of the tournament if you only have one profile.
@MAGICDAVESHROOMI only have 72 gauntlets now and i do not know anyway to earn more except buying from the shop ☹️
@HenryThePear You really don't have to worry about your gauntlet count! Here the reason why:
@HenryThePear Yep, if it's iOS just make sure you are logged into the GameCenter and have iCloud sync on for PvZ2. I find it a better play experience on the tablet vs a smaller screen.

1.4M is a good score! Should be more than enough to get the 8th win and two gauntlets in a "streak".

You have to play 220 matches to get to 1,000 crowns. If you lose the 9th match on purpose you will get this streak 220/9 ~ 24 times. In one streak you earn two gauntlets...so that will be 48 gauntlets 😉
Edit: Or you can see it that way: If you use 220 gauntlets you will get 48 gauntlets back through the streak rewards...
