My coins are at a minus balance after restoring the game

Plants vs zombies 2 recently downloaded their usual upgrades to the game. Once it downloaded and I restarted the game, all of my progress had been lost. 

I contacted EA chat and they helped me restore my progress. Upon restarting the game, I noticed I had millions of gems at my disposal and minus 622 million coins (see photo). Obviously, with that deficit, I can’t upgrade any of my plans. It would take forever to “pay off” all 622 million coins to get to zero again. 

EA chat told me the reason for this was that my coin balance “has exceeded the maximum value the game can handle”. This is due to a technical limitation called integer limit, often caused by a bug that rapidly increases my resources and becomes negative. 

I hope the team is able to look into this and get back to me. EA chat assured me the team would try to find a fix. Am I the only one experiencing this?
