New Plant Ideas
1. Counter Plants
These plant types are mediocre compared to regular plants but they excel when used against certain zombies with special abilities.
Examples:
Cube Watermelon: Transforms into Icecube Melon when frozen, that deals more damage. Useful in frozen stages.
Dryad Grass: Plant that slows down zombies, but if a zombie carrying a torch set it on fire, it becomes a Burning Grass that deals a lot of damage.
Rubber Tree: Blocker plants that bounces back any smashing attack.
Flycatcher Plant: Plants can catch projectile and throws them back.
2. GMO Strains
Using the technology of genetic engineering, a new way of improving/altering plant abilities has been develop.
Only one strain can be acquired per type.
Only one strain can be equip on a plant.
Examples:
Fiber Bulk Strain: Increases damage
Regeneration Strain: HP regeneration
Bark Strain: Increase HP.
Retreat Strain: Plant moves backward if attacked if there is no plant behind it.
