A brief update on my case with EA help.
After a few emails, this bug has been confirmed and it is aware by PopCap but sadly currently there is no fix available.
I am also been told that the reward at 500 crowns is 150 seeds for the new Season plant and NOT 100 seeds as I originally stated, so even without the extra 50 seeds from the Event, the new plant should be unlocked at the 500 crowns mark, not the 750 as I stated. Few, this is a small relief for me as I have quite a few level 1 profiles...

I was also given 50 gems for my trouble, I guess maybe this was just to shut me up or telling me to go away and not making further troubles. 👿
In all honesty, I could not even figure out which profile has received this 50gems credit and it certainly will not be enough to buy 50 seeds for Tomb Tangler. 😞
I have just taken a quick peak at the true cost table I made years ago for the +3 gems incremental purchase, 50 seeds actually costs 80 gems, so whichever profile that the 50 gems go, I am still out of pocket by 30 gems. 😡
