No there isn't a way to upgrade our plants quicker.
Rackman70 has done the math on this and it will now literally take years to level up your plants, his post can be found in the useful links thread.
It will continue to take years because players can only get rewards of 3 to 5 (very rare 25) seed packets from pinata parties and daily seed tracker.
The levelling up curve is way too steep and needs too many seeds and coins in the higher levels.
There are five plants in the store i won't buy for various reasons, i probably have enough seeds to take them to high mastery but i would have to spend around 300,000 coins for each one to get it to level 10 (or pre mastery max).
