Penny's Pursuit doesn't refresh | Zomboss "Out to Lunch"

Hi,

So this issue has been happening to me since 9.4.1 released yesterday. I'm playing it on Android. When the Penny's Pursuit timer for Zomboss finishes the 12 hours countdown, it resets again automatically showing "Out to Lunch".

I wasn't recording the game when it first happened, but the second time around, I started recording when a few seconds were left. When the countdown finished, the "Out to Lunch" restriction was gone and I could enter the battle, but I didn't. Instead, I restarted the game to test it. This time again it was gone. Now I'm stuck for another 12 hours. I have already lost 2 chances to level up Cold Snapdragon.

Seems like I'm not facing this issue alone. Many people are reporting it on Reddit as well as here. But that is not enough, we should let EA know about it.

Update: The folks at PopCap are investigating this issue. Meanwhile, 2 options work for me:

1. I've set 2 daily reminders for PP so that I'm ready to fight him immediately when the countdown ends.

2. I wait for the countdown before refilling my ZPS meter to 100%. I play some levels, refill the ZPS meter, then fight Zomboss immediately without closing the app.

I think you misunderstand the problem. What we're trying to say is it's not letting us play. It counts down from 12 hours and when he gets to 0 hours it doesn't let you play it just automatically says you have to wait 12 hours again. I have been waiting days to battle the boss. Every time the counter gets down to zero it automatically goes back to 12 hours without giving me a shot to play. That zomboss timer never reaches zero

You wouldn't miss any chance to fight Zomboss if you follow the workaround that I posted here.

It’s now 6+ months later and EA still has not fixed this issue, it is worse than ever. Do you happen to have any progress update? I think it’s interesting that they are going to temporarily disable the arena this week to revamp it, while this issue has persisted so long in Penny’s Pursuit.

I have the same problem too now, and it happened three days consecutively like I just watched an ada to get gems but the ads made my game back to profile screen and when I visited the Penny's pursuit even the meter is beyond 100% I have to wait to next day to battle the zomboss and the next day it happened again. I should be able to fight twice of the three battles but instead I just had once chance of three battles.

@Akhilesh_PvZ2 unfortunately didn't
work for me. Started at 0, filled meter to 100%, then off he went to lunch. Didn't even ask me if i wanted a cup of coffee. 2nd time in 3 events. Hope it works for other players.
