Penny's Pursuit

New avatar i see, i eventually used all the extra pennyfuel i watched ads for and it charged up over time back to 15/15 but now pennyfuel for ads is working again.

I used it in my mastery profile to get more dandelion seeds but other than that i use it just for the 5 quest gems.

I have a feeling EA might be getting rid of pinata party in the future, but who knows?

Did it fix itself or what did you do?

I deleted data a few times to get more free Aloe seeds (only needed another 30 to get to L7) and it cured itself.

I think you’re right, piñata party may disappear, I truly hope not. It’s a quick game for cash and seeds. Munchkin love the little challenge too. Interesting fix... as of now since I’m not playing Penny’s so I’m not fussed.

I might be wrong about pinata party being taken away, little shroom.

It just seems a bit odd that EA took the 5 sparkly gems from pinata party and gave them to penny's pursuit.

On top of this there are further 18~24 gems drops from Zomboss matches....  👿

Why can't get Penny's Pursuit reward (plant)?  The system offers me that I purschase the plant in the shop, when I get the seeds by PP mode.
It is a new feauture or just some bug?

There are kiwibeast seeds in penny's pursuit but it's down to EA/popcap if they make it unlockable with seeds or keep it a cash only plant.

We simply don't know.

This week's zomboss battle is INSANITY GONE INSANE. At easy difficulty, I YEETED Dr. Zomboss INSANELY!

Though spicy difficulty  isn't that easy... I ALMOST lost to a Roman Buckethead at the final seconds of the battle... I only depleted 5 zomboss health bars...

Have you got 24 gems regularly? That would mean 8 gems in each play?

With me, even though there are still 2 minutes-ish left after I reduced the required Zomboss' health quite early, the gem drops still started late (like about 1.5 minutes left). I only got 7 gem drops regularly in the Dandelion Zomboss, sometimes 6, but 8 only once or twice max for the whole two weeks as I remember. I was playing in extra spicy, by the way.

So I'm guessing the devs set a maximum time left until the gems start to drop to control the gem drops. I suppose 24 gems are possible, maybe I need more luck. Or do you have any tips to get the max gem advantages? 😁

Edit: just played PsP Zomboss easiest difficulty, and got my first gem drops at 1:58 countdown. But still only six gems total.

I'd be interested in a nice strategy for this Zomboss too

Thought it was gonna be easy to farm gems with Zoybeans ...

I'm getting the usual 6-8 gems when I play the easy difficulty. Extra spicy requires 13 defeats and there is not too much time left to farm gems.

Both just getting 3-4 gems

What are the criteria for getting extra gems? I thought defeating Zomboss, should be fast with Zoybean I assumed

@HypnoDjurre Gems start dropping after you defeated the Zomboss. So you should get more gems on low difficulty since you only have to defeat him 5 time (?) instead of 13.

@ForestOutlook   With max level plants I played the hard level as it gives more coins(11.1K for 3 games), I can get 6 gems most of the time and if I am lucky in the last 10 seconds when two more gem carrying zombies appears, I get 2 more gems.  With level 8 plants, I play the easy level and can get 8 gems most of the time this is because as @PowerToss  says, you only need to get zomboss health bar down in a fewer time and given you more time to concentrate on getting hte gems carrying zombies.

One point to note is this, once the zomboss (health reduction to 0) quest is reached, you must concentrate on the zombies and be ready to collect the gems drops because I have seen my 8th gem appearing on the screen many times but the the match ends before I can collect it.

Edit:  And with level 1 plants, I have not won any medium or hard levels, so it has to be easy level only and I could only get 2~3 gems. (when I am lucky)

@eieio_31310thank you for the tips. Do you remember when did you get your first gem when you get a total of 8 gems?

I got my first gem at 2:08 in one of my play today, and I still got only 7 gems total.

I also remember having the 8th gem appeared at the same time as the time's up once or twice. I don't think it's automatically collected (?).

Man, I'm getting obsessed with the 8th gem 🤣

@HypnoDjurreI played the easiest Zomboss this time since I'm preparing gems to level up Gumnut. So I'm giving up bonus coins and seed packets rewards for now (plus currently Arena streaks are more rewarding seed packets-wise). Hardest zomboss this week has 13 healths, and I can't beat it quickly enough with my mid-ish plants to get the most gems.

You're 100 seeds short for lvl5 if you complete all Season rewards and the Quest, so I'll spend some gems if necessary, normally I get enough from Pinata Party tho
