Have you got 24 gems regularly? That would mean 8 gems in each play?
With me, even though there are still 2 minutes-ish left after I reduced the required Zomboss' health quite early, the gem drops still started late (like about 1.5 minutes left). I only got 7 gem drops regularly in the Dandelion Zomboss, sometimes 6, but 8 only once or twice max for the whole two weeks as I remember. I was playing in extra spicy, by the way.
So I'm guessing the devs set a maximum time left until the gems start to drop to control the gem drops. I suppose 24 gems are possible, maybe I need more luck. Or do you have any tips to get the max gem advantages? 😁
Edit: just played PsP Zomboss easiest difficulty, and got my first gem drops at 1:58 countdown. But still only six gems total.
I'd be interested in a nice strategy for this Zomboss too

I'm getting the usual 6-8 gems when I play the easy difficulty. Extra spicy requires 13 defeats and there is not too much time left to farm gems.
I've played difficulty 2 and 3, mostly 3
Both just getting 3-4 gems
What are the criteria for getting extra gems? I thought defeating Zomboss, should be fast with Zoybean I assumed
@HypnoDjurre Gems start dropping after you defeated the Zomboss. So you should get more gems on low difficulty since you only have to defeat him 5 time (?) instead of 13.
