@HenryThePear I only play on one iPhone and the old phones are not even powered on (batteries drained).
My guess is the many profiles (38 on my last count and increasing as sometimes when I switch between profiles, a new one is created) I have on my account which might have caused the problem. I am slowly getting used to missing out the 1st play rewards but in return I get to save some PP fuels and time so the lost the bearable.
@eieio_31310 Same~~~~ I am so used to not getting the 1st pass reward by now xDD i might be a bit annoyed each time when i realise they haven't fix it and then i forget about it xDD
Using this strategy for the new Penny Zomboss
With lvl7's I defeat Zomboss after 1 minute (two chillies) and get 5 extra gems (with Boss Buster perk at lvl1)

Addendum to the above:
Saw this info on Reddit, a PF'd Pumpkin stops Zomboss from charging, the armor is destroyed but the Pumpkin survives
Been a while since I grinded dilligently, but today I can play Penny's Zomboss twice (by that I mean, 6 times). I wonder if it's been this way for some time, or it's just a (lucky) bug on my part.

@HypnoDjurre1337 i noticed this as well, the armour on two pumpkins is destroyed but zomboss doesn't get past.
@ForestOutlook i remember an old penny's pursuit where you could also play it twice daily, at the moment I'm just playing a match a day to get the quest gems as i don't want or need blooming heart seeds.
@MAGICDAVESHROOMI remember that one too, I guess, when the devs were experimenting Penny's Zomboss to be playable twice a day, but eventually back to only once. And yeah, I wish it happened when it's still rewarding Pumpkin, not that excited for Blooming Heart as well. Anyway, maybe it's only a bug for today.

@HypnoDjurre1337. Peanut, power lily, reinforcemint and blover with sunbank perk works for me on 3 chilis.
Buy a plantfood to start it off.
@HypnoDjurre1337 Pokra, Spearmint, Pumpkin, Reinforcemint works. Just plant one/two Gumnuts to keep Zombies in place with R-mint.
