Plants vs zombies 2 can't unlock plants area is greyed out.

Playing plants vs zombies 2 but can't unlock 🔓 plants because area is greyed out. How can I unlock now?

What plants are you trying to unlock? Are you aware not all plants are unlocked by seeds?
