I think similar issue has been reported before with earlier updates, might be worth it for you to do a quick search on the forum and see if a solution is present.
I have encountered update issues last week on the IOS platform and manage to fix it by logging out of Game Center and logging back on, could you give a list of what you have tried so people here reading your post might have other ideas to offer?
I hope you have not dropped a league in Battlez because of this update issue.
