Problem unlocking plants

My game has been crashing quite a bit lately, and normally I can start it right back up where i left off. I finished the first level of the Far Future world and the game crashed right before I could claim the lazerbean. Now the levels after this have opened up and I can play them and claim new plants and costumes, but I still can't unlock the lazerbean, even though I successfully completed the level numerous times.
