So the only way for it to work is to factory reset the phone. I and someone else tried it and it worked. Though definitely be sure to back up EVERYTHING.
Thank you for the response. I just attempted to change the network. I can't access 4G, however, but I got LTE, 3g, and 2g. My old phone was 4g.
Are there any other suggestions?

I'm sure you've probably already tried it, to no avail, if you're asking about it online here.
But just in case you didn't, I had the same issue with a new REVVL 6 I bought, and the only thing that ended up working was factory resetting it (despite the fact that it was brand new when I got it), then going through multiple updates and restarts to ensure the phone was 100% up to date BEFORE installing PvZ 2 even once. I don't know why, but it did the trick.
Interesting how that worked. If I didn't already have stuff on my phone I'd factory restart it too.
