I have the same problem, playing on ipad mini2. I think the problem is the new plant Power Vine. This happened before and was eventually fixed. Waiting sucks.
I agree, this has happened before, there are similar threads from last year. I had problems before the powervine, in last few weeks. It didn’t crash every day so I figured it was my end. I have iPad mini 3. It crashes every single time now, losing gauntlet and progress before even loading plants. I’m able to play on my iPhone, but I don’t want to, the screen is too small to see what you’re doing.
A friend has just messaged me to say that they have the same problem
