AHQ do sometimes check our posts to make sure we are conforming to the rules.

@PowerTossI did a backup of my iPhone X last night and didn't realize that you had to rename the folder so it didn't overwrite my old backup for windows, so the restore was of no use ☹️ I wish I had a pp.dat file backed up somewhere.
Is pp.dat the ONLY file required to be 'backed' up ???

sad what is happening to so many players
been through it myself and started over way too many times
also had to spend money again for that which I had already paid for which really ticked me off more so than losing progress

yes it's so frustrating as well as so not fair these companies get away charging money but do whatever they want and don't take any responsibility at all
