PVZ2 lost progress

My 5 years of progress in pvz2 is lost, it occurred when the game suddenly crashed and my profile is disappeared and changed into user dave profile. Then when I relogin my Gmail account  to retrieve my progress, my progress is gone when choosing identity selection, all 

Plants, power mints, even those premium plants that purchased using my hard earned money is gone, pls ea help me.

  • @MOND2424 For any lost progress, after making sure you are in the correct account and you were not playing as a guest or anonymous, you would need to reach out to support. They have the tools to locate an account to help players out.

    You want to make sure you have as much info as you can

    Dates last log in and data went missing

    Any purchase receipts from Gmail or iOS

    Player ID if you happen to have it

    Any user names you can remember in-game

    What level your account was at

    You can contact our live support on our Help Site. To request a chat or open a case through email: Go through the prompts to set up your case with the game.

  • Bear with my grammar, as I am not an English speaker.

    I just got my progress back, thanks.

    To other players facing the same problem,  my advice is when your game crashed and then your profile is gone and replaced with user Dave, uninstall and install the game then log in your email address and when the identity selection pop up and both option is no progress, zero plant, zero level, zero money and gems. Don't select any of those selection as you pressed and enter one of those option you will overwrite and probably lost your original progress. So exit the game and turn off your internet connection and open the game then go to the setting or the wrench logo then click the build version and screenshot your player ID. 

    Create a case or chat with the ea help and send your email that is connected or bind with  your pvz2 acc with progress and then send the screenshot that contents your player  ID. And wait for the results, they will send the results in your email.

    Just be patient, it will takes some time for them to locate and restore your progress.

  • Sama darling i also have the problem same as you this morning 😭😭,, and i still waiting for ea responses from email ,,,, and i dindt select one of two option my progress is... But one question,, where can i see for original game ID that contain original progress,, ,,is it the same id that on both progress when we choose progress ? 

    IM sorry i hope you understand what i mean ,, my English is medium 

  • I have had the same exact problem as @MOND24243  3 times in the past month. 

    My game is synced in Google. 

    I open the game and it's re-set to User Dave as if it were my first time opening the game. 

    I go through all the recommended steps to get my game synced back from my Google account.

    I re-open the game and see an Identity conflict, but the CORRECT Player ID shows 0 progress (coins, gems, worlds, plants, arena...etc). 

    So I ask EA for help and usually by the next day a rep has restored my progress.

    But this KEEPS happening! Is there anything I can do to break this problem cycle? 

    Does anyone on the EA side have any idea why this might be happening?

    Each time I contact EA to restore my progress, I ask this underlying question. While I am grateful that they DO restore my progress, I have never gotten any answer to this question. The best I've gotten is a link to the basic instructions for syncing game play in Google (which is a bit frustrating because I always say at the outset that I have already done that.)

    Maybe this is a problem that EA is still investigating. Sometimes "I don't know" is the best answer. Or "We're trying to diagnose the problem".

    I'm just saying it would be nice to get some acknowledgement that this is a problem and hear that something is being done to identify the problem and address it.

    It doesn't seem unreasonable to expect to be able to use an app with regularity without having to contact the company every few weeks in order to continue.
