Re: HINTS AND TIPS

@ForestOutlook So what happens when you put down reinforce mint with gumnut? Does it activate the bug pink bubble that sticks down multiple zombies?

There's no problem if the exploding bubble gum rain down the zombies inside the lawn. It only becomes a problem if the gums rain down on the zombies before they enter the lawn. The plant food effect is mainly to blame, and reinforce-mint effeft is to activate Gumnut's pfe. This is actually not an easy to encounter bug. But could pose more problem the higher the level your Gumnut is, or the more Gumnuts are on the lawn. Since more gums will be spread, if not enough zombies on the lawn, they'll target zombies before they enter the lawn too.

Indeed, it's just that some zombies don't eat plants, and thus they don't eat the gums as well. For these zombies to proceed, you need to kill them with your plants, or to have them eaten by the zombies behind them.

    From reddit:

    1. The Hit Points are the Gum's Health, which is Tall-nut level. Gum Health Boost is the health of the zombie that's gummed, multiplied by a percentage, and added to the health of the Gum. So at lvl1 it's 300; that means that the top health of the zombie that's gummed is multiplied by 300% and added. At level 10 it's multiplied by 1000% (10x).

    2. The gum takes smash damage, but if it's a gargantuar's gum, it's basically smashing through its own health times at least 3.

    3. All-stars... they do smashing damage but no insta-kill. So how many smashes can gum take? It depends on the health of the zombie that's gummed.

    4. The arcade machine will just crush a Gumnut that hasn't gone off. But if a Gumnut has gummed another zombie, the Arcade zombie will push the cabinet past the gummed zombie, and then will be blocked by the gummed zombie and start doing chewing damage on the gum. [Haem's comment: It's likely the same story with Ice Blocks though that wasn't specifically addressed in the reply]

This means that the gum depends on the zombie's health. So, although, the Zombies in Arena do more damage, they also have more health which makes the gum tougher. It's a really interesting plant.

The Football helmets do damage with there pushing effect, so they will "eat through" the gum. It's just takes a long time 🙂

Now I am wondering how Octo zombie and Wizard zombie deal with the sticky gum.....

Need to try this out in adventure and see but I have not even started getting a level 1 gumnut yet maybe someone can do the honor & confirm.

Thanks @HenryThePear .  So you are confirming instead of covering up/transforming the gum, Octo and Wizard are starting to chew them?

Thank you PowerToss for clarifying. It's an interesting plant indeed, with how different zombies deal with the gum differently, especially those which do not eat plants (or not immediately eat plants).

I gummed the Mecha-Football zombie with my lvl 1 Gumnut in Arena Jade League, and it's stuck there for quite a long while that I feel pity for him and decided to end his misery 🤣. That pushing damage seems to do very little to the gum even in Jade League.
