Please don't (ab)use me ☹️ Level 2 of the quest is one of the hardest. It took my six attempts to complete it with my level 1 profile without using any power-ups or boosted plants. You have to focus on planting Primal Peashooter ASAP and add Torchwood at a later stage of the game (when you have like 4-5 Primals in each column). Just FYI: The level becomes easy with a boosted Sunshroom in your Zengarden.
@PowerToss by power-up I hope you mean spending coins to buy the 'finger of god' for either flicks, zaps or freeze the zombies and not the given plant foods. I know a player who challenges himself by not using plant food with his level 1 plants and making the game very difficult. Boosted plants from Zen garden make me lazy so I try to avoid using it. it also make me feel I am cheating so robs a certain amount of game enjoyment.
@linuxPigPen the last video link was a joke. If you still have trouble with level 2, below is link to a video showing how to complete it with level 1 plants. Hope this helps.
