I've heard the same for those that stop leveling their plants at a certain levels many many times.
Also, there used to be a streak system rewarding hundreds to thousands of seeds in every match, but they haven't stopped anything with multiple device use or anything involving Airplane mode use.
They've also failed to address most of those that were victims of the resource bug.
I do emphasize with you, though.

Below are my personal view on the plant levelling system introduced to PVZ2.
To be honest,I did not like the levelling system at first (that was the reason I tried to keep a level 1 profile and still playing it today). But after understanding difference levels bring out enhanced ability (Stallia, gravebruster to name a few) and encourage different strategies, I learn to enjoy the levelled up plants more.
I see the level number as a marker, it is used to indicate my progress, used to show how far and how much I have gained on the knowledge and in game resources, I also see it as a trophy, it shows my efforts and dedication.
To me, a trophy is only worth having when it is awarded, if it is obtained by other means, it defeats the object on of having it in the first place. How often do you see a top sports person showing you the trophy which he/she had purchased from the shop?
@eieio_31310 @FantastiXxPVZ Thanks, Using different levels is a good way to have advance knowledge but try to get m200 for useless and paid plants is strange. Sorry, almost users having m200 are cheater.
Hmm, it might have been my OCD, because I DO level up plants which I do not use in trying to get all plants with the same level.... ๐ฟ
EDIT just realised the image I post got stuck due to size. I removed the alpha layer and it is now ok.
Week 220 tournament. After fine tuning I am getting a little closer to Mastery score now....๐ฟ
I tried using lightning Reed and found it was good to take out the weasels but it was not powerful enough for other zombies.
I tried using primal wall-nut but found sometimes it needs to last more than 3 hits, so in the end the best compromise is Laser Bean and Chard Guard.
I am sure this can go higher as many times I was just a faction of a second away to blow up the zombies appearing onto the Arena.

Thanks @ImNoob2009 . For non mastery, I dare say anything over 1M should see you through a 10-win streak. I have had a few close matches but highest I met is about 1,1M so far, guess this might change once I am over 50 wins.
My high mastery has now joined the 1.6M club. ๐ฟ
(Don't ask me how I did it, I just play normally with an average of 1.4M then this one game it shoots over 1.6M)

@FantastiXxPVZThe 4.1M+ score is an amazing and outstanding achievement, I think most M200 players would be proud to get somewhere near to 4M.
I broke 12m using the following setup for Imp pear tournament. I think m200 players must get higher.

Credit goes to TheMaruMari for his easy to follow F2P strategy. This allows my Mastery profiles to join the 12M club with ease. This was a strategy which brings 12.5M for level 7 plants and with mastery, I have managed 12.9 so far, might try for a 13M tomorrow if time permits.

@eieio_31310 Nice score, but can you tell us how do you backup and restore your plants level? I don't think you can maintain so many profiles all in Jade.
I wish I know a way to backup and restore profiles because this would enable me to keep a level 5 and level 7 profiles.
I created 10 more profiles when the levelling system was introduced thinking at the time I would be able to have a profile per plant level but then my master plan was spoiled as some plants maxed 10 while other maxed at 15 and some even maxed at 20.
I then focus on getting 10 profiles to be active, that is, an oldest profile with a mixture of high level and maxed level plants as a result from the x10 streak Battlez rewards, a level 7, a level 5, a level 1 and a mixture of low level profiles.
I would prefer to keep a varied leveled profiles but when I did the shop purchase upgrade at Christmas time I messed up (by upgraded plants in the wrong profiles) so now I have 3 mastery profiles, a level 10 profile (with a few accidentally M1 plants) and a level 8 profile. Due to time restriction, nowadays I only concentrate the grinding on my mastery and high level profiles, although I still enjoy testing out with my level 1 plants whenever I have time.
Well, the bad side effect is that, I have been in Jade for a few years now as I need to get at least 5000 crowns a season to keep up with my grinding. ๐ฟ

This strategy was used by TheMaruMari for his level 7 plants and achieved an amazing score of 12.5M so I just copied his load out, I guess I could be evil and replace it with a none relevant plant such as Intensive Carrot or Grave Buster to fool other players (who might have been assigned with my recording) but I wanted to respect and honour TheMaruMari's strategy and keep things unchanged.
