Not much room for a higher score in Boosterama. It's a lot easier, though.

I think they said on Reddit that bots don't have Mastery plants
But I've seen many many opponents with max lvl and/or mastery plants getting lower scores in this tourney
Using Ultomato helped breaking my practice score.
Already used up my Practice games (again 😛)
Didn't get good scores so I was waiting out the tourney

AKEE + Fila-mint is around 2.4m
I like the A.K.E.E. strategy 🙂 Finally we can use a plant that is barley used in Arena.

Got pretty much the same with Ultomato or Spear-mint instead of Imitator. Ail-mint and Arma-mint at beginning, then keep Arma-mint going. Let Ail-mint refresh on it's own and it will be up at the end. Keep a PF or 2 to Imp Pear last second.

Yes, tried Sling Pea and it's pretty good, but it faces the same problem Bowling Bulb does and sometimes the Tomb Stones with PF can hide.
Same strategy we used the last time the tournament was up. Use MG to keep Zomboss in place at the start.

Highest opponent score I've seen is 24k.

I think they changed the encounter, because at certain points, he's unstunned and not taking damage, just so he can move. Happens around Boss level 4, 7, 12, 17, and 21. So, even though I can get 43M to 45M, a good amount of the time, it's not as duplicateable. The Pokra strat is easier to recommend, because it's easier to recover, if he moves.
As you don't have the finger tapping skills of @PowerToss you could try this, 4x maxed out L5 Ultomatos are enough for the initial stun and start putting down filamint and enchantmint when the zomboss damage bar reaches 4 and start plantfooding tile turnip when you have 3 or 4 (mine are at L5) and it usually scores around 40m, which is about what you're scoring now but without tapping.
Credit goes to @FantastiXxPVZ for the powermint timings, who got them off @PowerToss.

Think it's 'easier' for my plant lvls/playing style/skill
Got 41.6m but the last Zomboss bar didn't flip yet, so I'll probably squeeze out a 43m soon

Yeah, they definitely lied to us or there was a change after it was stated that they dont use kill streak bots.

We all thought Zoybean was broken, but all along it was Sapfling .....
Strange, @FantastiXxPVZ reported 30m opponents last time and now 24m, but in all my games (A LOT) I still haven't seen over 20m
And that screenshot is so far beyond obvious, even Trump couldn't deny it :D
