Sometime during the "Inferno" tournament, this problem, which I hadn't seen in many months, came back in a much more serious way.
Now, it ONLY appears when I try to open the store, but it ALWAYS appears when I try to open the store, and the only way to clear the spinning petal "Restoring Purchases" pop-up is to force quite the game. This prevents buying anything in the store, including spending my gems to buy piñatas.
The airplane mode trick does still work:
1. Close app
2. Force quit app (needed, because some little stub remains running otherwise)
3. Clear app cache
4. Turn on airplane mode
5. Start app and go to the store
6. After you're done in the store, you can turn Airplane mode off, so you still won't be able to buy things that require an active connection, but at least this lets you spend gems to buy the Arena League boosted piñatas.
Did anyone else start having this version of the problem?
I did one thing a bit differently:
at step 6, while still in the store w/airplane mode ON, I switched airplane mode OFF, and then exited the store. I then immediately re-entered the store, and the problem had gone away.

It dose, but once u enter penny's pursuit or adventure mode. (Don't know about arena) it comes back.

When I tried to buy the solar sage bundle, it says I already have it. Why is that?
Did you try to purchase it and you were caught in an endless Daisy of Doom - Restore Purchases loop? Where you paid money for the bundle but did not receive the bundle? If so, then the game thinks you have purchased the bundle.
You need to contact EA Help and open a case with them regarding the missing content. But I will tell your from experience, you won't get anywhere. Many of us on this forum are in the same position, and EA Help won't respond and won't restore any missing bundles.
At this point, you can only use what gems and coins you have and what you accumulate while playing the game. BUT - I would not attempt to purchase any other content in the game, because you will not get it. Until this bug is fixed, it will just take your money and leave you with nothing and no help from EA "HELP." Their minions who occasionally show up on the forums pretending to "HELP" - don't do anything and do not answer ANY questions regarding this glitch.

I just got that issue. Purchased a plant which was "pending", then I contacted the EA helpdesk then they managed
to fix it, but this eternal "Restoring Purchase"! is annoying, I will have to contact them again.
First time I had this issue, and it and it happened during the purchasing of the new plant.
Don't bother to contact EA, this issue has been going on for months, along with other issues.
We were told it should have been fixed with the last but one update but it hasn't been so all we can do is wait.

I do perpetually have the "Restoring Purchases!" if I open the Store, as noted in an earlier post. I get past this by launching in Airplane Mode (see prior post for details) and take it out of Airplane Mode after opening the Store. This does make it possible to spend coins and gems and mints, but as StormyHeather11 wrote, I now can't buy anything in the store for actual money. The one purchase I tried like this shows as "Pending" in my plant list, but never validates so I can use it. I am trying to work through this latest purchase with EA Help.
In my case, not sure if this applies to anyone else, I originally installed PvZ2 on an older Android device using 1 Google account and now have installed it on a newer device with a different Google account. I'm using the same EA account to register the game with EA and I had no problem getting all my plants, gems, gauntlets, etc. back, but starting in July, when I try to purchase anything in PvZ2, it brings up the old Google Account for pay for the purchase and won't let me select the current account. I suspect this is related to the problem.
I had the same problem when I purchased the snow pea yesterday that was on special. I had the restoring purchases when I click on pending in the almanac as well as in the store when I go into it. I tried everything that the others have said i.e. airplane mode, clear cache, restarting etc but none worked so I raised a ticket with help centre. I then tried clearing the cache again but this time I cleared my data as well.
This resulted in my user profile being removed and good thing I had saved it several times using google game. So I restored my profile using google game and it asked to me whether I want to restore my purchases. I did that and now everything worked. I have my snowpea and no more restoring purchases in the store.
So if you want to try and clear the data, make sure you saved your profile using google game or some other way so you can restore your profile. I also had proof of my purchase.
Google play /applestore automatically saves and updates pvz2, you can also sign up for EA's email registration scheme and keep a copy of your player id somewhere safe and that's about all you can do to safeguard your gamedata.
It worked! After I deleted data from the phone, I managed to fix the issue!
Don't forget to save your data, and write down your user ID just in case!
Problem fixed, but another issue emerged.
Now I can't access the new store, its shows me the store (no new plants, or the ones that are available in the star like Solar Tomato), as If I just started playing the game.
But my profile is loaded.
If you do a reinstall you are given a beginners store that lasts for two days.

blu3b3rry888, in my case I don't think that would work, though it might fix the problem going forward. My issue is that PvZ2 is somehow forcing the wrong account to use for purchases. It brings up an old account when I try to buy anything that requires real money. It's not using the one set as my active account in Google Play. I believe that's probably related to the problem. At the very least, when I reported this to EA, even though it shows "pending" on the plant and I had sent them proof of the charge on my credit card, they wanted to see the email receipt from Google to the account they charged with proof that's my email address. I assume this is to avoid someone scamming them out of a free plant, but it also seems to indicate that they can't tell what Google account is being used for a purchase.
I bought the Goo Peashooter Bundle on July 14, 2021, and it failed to go through. I filed the missing content report with EA Help Desk. After many emails exchanged, the most in the first two weeks, I finally got my Goo Peashooter unlocked in my game profile today - August 24, 2021. Yes, I was amazed. I just don't know if I got the 100 plus seeds besides the 250 guaranteed Goo Peashooter Seed Packets.
The game said the bundle would come with an assortment of 100 Premium and Common Seed Packets; generally 40/60. I think it was the beginning of August; EA Help Desk's emails finally said that they could only force through the Goo Peashooter seed packets and one other plant, and to pick which plant I wanted it to be. The Shine Vine was picked but then there was another week's delay. I emailed them again, after making sure my claim was still in process and told them they could send me all the seed packets for the Goo Peashooter Bundle if that would help to get it done. And I kept screenshots so I could verify that they went through, when or if they ever went through; I had my doubts. Well, today I got an email saying the Goo Peashooter had unlocked and sure enough it had, and I was able to level it up to 4 too, but as I had 101 seed packets of the needed 250 to unlock it already, and I didn't write down what each leveling up qualified under; I don't know if I got 250 or 350 seed packets.
If you bought a bundle from the store with various things, this could be part of the hold up for EA Help Desk pushing it through, especially as they want screenshots for everything, and you can take screen shots of specials that are only available for 24 hours, especially after the fact. I also recommend not buying cash money things from the store until the problem is fixed. Although I would have bought 5 or 6 things buy now if this problem hadn't happened.I've noticed that sometimes I can enter the store once without using the airplane mode, but I can't enter more than once without getting the restoring daisywheel of death. There are flukes with in flukes. Unless you can go in and out of the store over and over, with no problems day after day.

I was wrong in some of my earlier posts -- not about using Airplane Mode to get into the Store, that works -- the problem where it was showing the wrong account was NOT a PVZ2 problem. It was a Google Play Store problem. I Force Quit the Store, then cleared the Data and Cache for the Store, then when I restarted it that worked, and PVZ2 then bought through the right account... but I still have the Restoring Purchases problem every time I go to the PVZ2 store, so the mismatched account issue was not the cause of the Restoring Purchases problem.
