    Hello everyone,

    PvZ 2 update 11.5.2 has just been released for iOS/iPadOS devices, aimed at resolving performance issues some of you have been experiencing in the game.

    If the update isn't available to you yet, please try restarting your device or checking the App Store later for available updates. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this situation, as it's something beyond our control.

    Please let us know how it goes and if your issues have been resolved or not.

    Seems ok up to now but haven’t done a lot so I don’t know if the overheating and battery drain have been resolved.

  • Thank you, the 11.5.2 fix worked for me.

    My iPhone no longer tries to melt when there are multiple plants on the screen.

    Now @EA_Leeuw and @EA_Cath where is our 1,000 gem compensation for wasting a week of our game play on poor testing and nonexistent Quality Assurance?

  • When a business causes an issue for it’s customers, it’s well within the costumer's rights to request compensation for any difficulties that it may have caused.

    It’s up to the business to decide if the requested compensation is appropriate and applicable.

    (For clarity: It’s not up to the members of the community to decide if the requested compensation should be granted, as you have no formal connection with the business beyond being a customer.)

    @qov62sebowof   In past when there had been issues with new updates affecting all players, PopCap did grant some compensations in the form of 'Free' gifts from the store, more often some seed packages and sometimes a small amount of in-game currencies.  

    This new bug (system slow down, lagging and overheating issue) is platform related, so I am not sure how PopCap is rolling out compensations for just us affected iOS users.  Of course, if EA manages to persuade popCap to give out free store gifts as a goodwill gesture, I do not mind sharing this with everyone, Android usres included. 👿

  • it’s fixed for me! i play on iphone 11 that i’ve had for almost 4 years & on the latest IOS (17.5.1)!

    If you are still experiencing the system slow down and lagging, please check and ensure your App is running the 11.5.2 update as image below.

    RESOLVED - Post Marked as Solution for Visibility

    Hi everyone,

    Great news! The release of the PvZ 2 update 11.5.2 for iOS/iPadOS devices appears to have resolved the severe performance issues. We're considering this issue/thread resolved.

    However, if you continue to experience problems after updating to 11.5.2, please let us know in this thread. Be sure to mention your device model and iOS version.

    After I updated to 11.5.2 earlier this week, the game slowed down so much it was impossible to play  I am playing on an iPad 6th generation using os version 17. 5.1.  Do I have to re-download the update to fix? If so, how do I do that?

  • @EA_Leeuw   That last update took care of the issue for both my devices.  Thank you for escalating that for the community. You don't think you can check with the Dev team to see if they can throw some gems or mints on my account for losing my streak in the Jade league???  😃

    Thanks for the info.  I checked and I'm using update 11.5.1. How do I access and download 11.5.2?

    Go to App Store, search for PVZ2, locate the App (ignore the OPEN button) and click on the PVZ2 icon to open the update page, then click the UPDATE button to update.

  • everytime I try to play pvz2 it puts on a black screen then crashes and I don't know how to fix it but I've already restarted, cleared cache, and even cleared my storage.

    3. How much free memories is left on the device?
