Most of us using this post have higher level plants but we're willing to share our knowledge with the unenlightened.

If you have a low level profile i suggest you check out the "level 1 mini forum" which is very useful for low level plants.

My highest level plants have level 6-7 but most are between level 1 - 3

Ditto.  Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your promotion to Jade league.  You have done very well. 

I made it to Jade League before the latest software update bugs demoted me to SOIL league but I was never able to beat the heavy hitters with their high level plants.  I could win mints in Jade League but never reached the top 3

Winning streaks will be difficult but not impossible.  Every week is a new experience.

Some advice....if there is a battle week where you can score well and reach win streaks above 10 then, if you can afford to, you might use your GEMs to keep the streaks going and try to enjoy the rewards for a long win streak.

My goal was always to collect each mint so winning in jade League was not always the top goal...once or twice I even dropped back top Gold League so i could achieve the number of mints I needed for the new mint of the month.

Your English is very good.  My Modern Day plants were at the 6-7 range when I first reached Jade League.  Then I worked on Far Future (Laser Bean) next.

One reward from long win streaks is that you collect seed packets for the World or Premium plants and mine were in dire of need of strength.

Thanks very much. My best winning streak was 9 (without spending gems) but i know sometimes its worth spend gems to win a specific prize.

Very welcome.  Enjoy the battles this week.  I am doing well with Squash, Bloomerang (as many as you can get!), SunFlower, Power Lily, and Spearmint (Spikerock would be costly to use instead)

As a player with low level plants I'd advise you not to spend gems maintaining a streak but to go back to the beginning if you lose.

Save your gems, young jedi.

EA deny the existence of streak-killing bots but myself and other players have noticed a pattern where the first game after a streak reset/ pay gem tax is easy, the next 8 you usually win, the 9th is hard, the 10th you usually lose and you won't get past the 11th unless you pay the gem tax.

This usually resets anyway if you lose to a better player but you'll come up with players fielding weird plant combos and maxed out mastery in jade.

It can get really expensive because the gem tax goes up by 10 gems every time you lose(10,20,30,40 etc.. Up to 250).

There have been many posts about streaks etc.. On this forum and i advise you to go through them as you might find out something useful.

My streak in this week's BattleZ ended at 17 when I lost with a score of 1M  !!    My opp was at 1.6M with the following:

Snow Pea   M61

Spearmint  L6

Power Lily  L10

Twin SUN  L8

Witch Hazel   M80

SlingPea     M70

(my GEM tax is now over 200 per loss for the past month's streak of >155 as of tonight)

I'm new around here, but have been playing PvZ since the original came out on the iPhone in 2010. Anyway, I have noticed this really annoying streak-kill. I guess I never realized there would be bots (I'm not much of a gamer, lol). I do refuse to pay the gem tax unless I've gotten pretty high (for me that means a streak of 14 or so) and the gem tax is 10. I refuse to buy gems, and have managed to stay around, using all the gems I'd saved up before Battlez was a thing. 🙂

Any tips for getting higher streaks? 

What is up with this week's Battlez?

I'll be sitting this week out (only playing free gauntlets and non-Battlez for gems).

That would depend on your plant levels. I would recommend checking the mastery FAQ and the BattleZ FAQ.

I also look for good plant setups and strategies on other social media. This is what I watched for the current tourney.
