4.5m is a good score for those levels, i can only do 5m-ish with level 10 plants.
With wh you don't need to clear the graves but I've tried other plants but i can't find anything that will boost my score.
If you are having trouble with zombies getting past your puffshrooms i would suggest trying sapfling instead of bombardmint, doesn't kill anything but it will slow them down, tried it myself but my plants are too strong, if you have a practice left you could try it out.
