As I said in my original post I received only 40 in total, which made hardly any inroads into the total I require to go up another level.
Before my purchases I had 735 out of the 1750 required. After expending 300 gems I had 775.
I have limited experience of the 100 gems world seed packets purchases, but I would have expected to find that over the three purchases I made that if a certain plant got only a few seeds on one purchase it would be balanced by a higher amount on another purchase. That didn't happen for me. I don't now recall the exact order but each of my 100 gem purchases gave me either the lowest possible amount or the second lowest amount possible.
The other plants were getting as much as 50, 60, or even 70 each, but LB got virtually nothing each time. GRRRR!!!

I know i was almost at the upgrade point, probably about 40 seeds short, which is why i did it.
All i can remember about those 3× 100 gem seed packets is that there was an 80 seed packet for e.m.peach.
I once bought a premium plant (can't remember which one) bundle with the extra 100 world and premium seed packets and almost half were for plants i don't own and have no intention of buying.
Since then if i do buy a premium plant then i will just buy the plant on its own, EA should throw in some coins for upgrading as well, as they are virtual it doesn't cost them anything.
The best 100 gem seed packet i ever got had a 140 seed moonflower pinata in it.
Personally i think the modern day 100 gem seed packets are the ones to get as there are only 5 plants there and both moonflower and dusk lobber are great plants.
Just don't blame me if you get one with only 260 shadow shroom seeds in it.

I suppose just to rub salt in the wound you'll be saying you're getting them in Battlez Pinatas as well.
I've played and won just over 80 matches so far this week. Within that number I've had about 20 general Pinatas rewards that ranged from 3x, up to 10x.
I get a times ten multiplier due to my current streak, so for me they were effectively 30x to 100x. Taking a conservative average of 6x (60x) that means I've had around 120 Pinatas. (1200 seed packets)
Out of all that lot I've had only 50 LB seeds. (5 lots of 10).
It's like someone knows I REALLY want to get my LB to level 14 before the Spearmint month finishes, but they're determined to stop me. 😬
