Regarding Garden Warfare 2 and modding

It has came to my attention that Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is getting an Anti-Cheat
Now though I think this is amazing and will clean up the PC servers from dirty hackers I do need clearance on something about this Anti-Cheat

As GW2 is not being updated anymore many people use mods In private play (With or Without AI) to keep a sense of appeal to the game.
However as of recent I have heard rumors going around saying that GW2s anti-Cheat will remove modding entirely meaning that this update made to drag in more players to PC will only force other players away

I spent my money on this game to play mods I want to play these mods. I need to know if the game is worth keeping/backing up incase this Anti-Cheat does come into play and remove my ability to play mods
