Restoring cloud save after device merge

Hey! I need help with an issue. 

I recently found out my prior save with a good amount of time-gated content on it and several months of arena plants, premium plant purchases and the entire main game completed was recently killed by a sibling merging their pirate seas- level account with my cloud. I don't really know what I can do given I can no longer see it and signing into my EA account on the new save gives me no option to restore the old save. 

This is on the western PVZ2 IOS with the merge being done via gamecenter. Since its multiple devices sharing the same account, that's how the merge "killed" my old save. 

I'd be willing to provide further details if I can get ahold of an EA member and direct confirmation that a restoration is possible under these conditions. 

I obviously don't want to have to go through the effort of cheating in what was deleted, so I'm much more willing to go through legitimate routes to restore the content.
