So we will all be busy for the next few weeks..... 👿
I've just seen on Reddit that those 250 seed packets literally only unlock the plant. When you do the unlock, all those seed packets disappear into thin air and all you get in return for all your time and effort is a level one plant.
Of course we COULD buy the seed packets, for a mere 25 gems in return for just 10 seed packets. I for one won't be making any particular efforts to get the plant by going down that route. If it had been 25 seed packets for 10 gems I may have given it some consideration.
Your subject heading referred to the Shadow Peashooter possibly being the most powerful plant ever. I don't know about that, but it's potentially the most expensive if you can't accrue sufficient seed packets and need to use some gems.
Lmao
Well I was surprised it was not a premium, but somehow they made a way to get money out of it.
I guess it will be premium in 2 weeks anyways.
But since you can get 25 ""free"" per day + the 50 seeds from the quests you can have it for free in 8 days or less.

How exactly do you get 25 FREE per day?

There are only 16 FREE Gems per day (well ,you do have to earn them by playing).
That is, for those players who can play Pinata Party of course !!
My clock still has 11 days to go and then I can only hope it begins again at 24 Hours.

so the first 250 seed packets only unlocks the plant ? Argh !!
guess I'll be playing Modern Day for the next few weeks in hopes of collecting seed packets since I am locked out of Pinata Party.
any one else not getting the daily 9 FREE Gems and FREE Gauntlets ? Past three weeks has been none at all.

My bad, 25 ""free"" *gems
And yes I though it was 25 seeds against 25 gems but it is more 10 seeds, sometimes 20.
Yeah somehow even if it is not a gemium or premium plant yet they managed to make it a plant that P2W payers would have and upgrade more easily than F2P players. (P2W players have likely more gems than F2P in general and also better streak so more seeds as rewards. - Anonymous7 years ago
Ive paid a lot in gems to get this plant and get it level 4 and it is a good plant. But what angers me is that it is another cash cow because you have to keep spending 25 gems just for 10 seed packets. EA promised there would be seed packets in Piñatas during battle mode but, despite having won a dozen or more modern day piñatas in battle mode there has not been 1 lousy pack of seeds. The same is true of the everyday piñatas in non battle mode, although I’ve managed to get about 9 this way in The last few days having focused on 6 modern day piñatas a day. It is clear that players are going to want this plant and to level up. But the only route to that is buying these darnn gems for 10 seed packets per 25 gems. To go up to level 5 now means that you would need 250 gems costing £19.99, and after that you are looking at £80 for level 6 and £160 for level 7. Thus is, without doubt, the most expensive plant in the game and not, I hope, a sign of things to come from ea. They have made a fortune from battleZ and progress seems to be rigged so that when you get to level 6 or 7 your normal strategy inexplicably fails and your score halves. They hope they can trap people into paying loads of gems to retain their winning streak, but from this point in you are in a trap that ends up costing g a lot of gems. The battles themselves cost 50p each and an average contest is £40-50 over the week. But this is not enough money for them. So obviously inspired by the likes of fortnite, ea thinks they can just keep on abusing people’s love for and loyalty to this game. Come on ea, do you have to be so greedy??? You make enough off us already but you just don’t stop pushing and pushing until you find the breaking point at which people will reject this game. But you’ve taken care of that too because it’s hard to ditch a game that you have put so much time effort.and money into

The Pay-To-Win system existed way before Fortnite was created, like more than 10 year ago at last.
And it's actually totally different in Fortnite, players are paying for skins, not for better weapons, etc.Fun fact, they are still ads saying we can have SP seeds in Battle Pinata even if they removed them less than 2 days after the tournament began.
