Upgraded Wild West Boss

Question

Hi, can anyone provide tips on how to defeat this boss? I’ve tried multiple strategies to no avail, including upgrading the pathetic selection of plants available. It wouldn’t seem so impossible if I could use Lightening Reed or Electric Peashooter, but neither are options.

Thanks very much! I’ll definitely give these strategies a try. This is the only boss I haven’t been able to defeat.
