7 years agoI had this problem even before the update. Contacted EA "tech support" and was told it was beyond their control.
I kinda see why. The ads are ordered by companies in bulk for EA to serve. It is then sent to our devices for us to view. If those orders run out, then there's nothing to send to our individual devices.
In my case, I tried to mitigate by reinstalling PVZ on all my devices but that didn't help. Also, a good internet connection would help but may not completely solve our issue.
I hope this helps you. Happy planting!

I have occasionally received the "out of ads" message but never for very long

I suspected this because I had a shopping app I uninstalled recently and voila! Ads for this app almost every time!
Check the type of ads you are getting and you can kinda tell how EA sees you. With the ads I'm getting, I think EA thinks I'm an old Indian lesbian woman with a cough problem. Nothing wrong with that and I'm fine with it. The coughing is true though... It's just amusing.- 7 years ago
Thanks for the chuckle. I'll have to evaluate the ads I receive and see what they think of me !!
