Hello everybody!
I'm mainly active in the Battle For Neighborville Forums but I decided to post here because of this terrible level.
Could Popcap please rework it?
I tried all strategies I found online and it doesn't matter, it's purely based on luck or item spamming with these annoying chickens.
Has this level even been play tested?
It is possible to win, even with no leveling up nor (coins) power ups are used. You just need to make good use of the Hyno-shrooms and Iceberg Lettuces.

EDIT. Forget to add that I have even seen a player from China done it without using plant foods (I guess he has misunderstood the term power ups) he had won it with an extraordinary time of almost 16 minutes!

Personally i finished on my second attempt by spending a lot of coins on frozen snowballs.
A line of walnuts with electric currants making an electric barrier or plantfooded hypnoshrooms to turn chickens into gargs on the back row is worth trying, but wild west zombot is the hardest zomboss to kill.

I know it is certainly possibly, but I had to use a lot of coins on items. It doesn't really matter as I get a lot of them from the arena and the gems are worth it to me.
Even if I use the best strategies I have found here it ends up being frustrating.
I always focus so much on the main action that I don't notice when some of my plants are eaten by chickens and then they get through my line of defense.
I'll just practice the strategies you recommended a bit more 🙂
