Plants vs zombies battle for neighborville online play on nintendo switch

Recently for the holidays my 10 year old has tried to play PVZBFN on her nintendo switch however when she goes to play online it just says you need an EA account to play I have tried removing her EA ...

Yeah I agree it’s ridiculous that we spent all that money on this game for our kid, he was able to play it for over a year, and now all of a sudden he can’t play online on a game we purchased and he put tons of time into?? I’m really frustrated and feel robbed tbh.
