PvZ3 Event bugged?

Question

I've played the column crash course event like three times, finished either in first or second. Then I get the reward and the event just ends. When it comes back I'm still in wood league. I'm not ranking up. What could be wrong? I saw someone's video and there's suppose to me a whole animation for ranking up&nbsp;
