[ Xbox One ] Game crashes when friend joins
Everytime my friend joins my game session it crashes my game and when I join him it fails to join. We have tried re-downloading the game and resetting modems routers. Anyone else have this or know wha...

No sadly. We have tried deleting the game deleting the saved game file incase it was corrupted and re-downloading, tried port forwarding his ip address. Tried clearing the cache. Nothing has worked. It's odd cause he can use the portal to play multi-player but can't join friends or friends can't join him in the backyard.
have you tried on different accounts?
- Yes we had him try from a second account. We have also had him try to join several people.
Exactly the same problem here. But one of us have the 10 hours trial version. We are now afraid of buying a second copy.
- What I would like is a response from the support team on why this is happening. And maybe provide a workaround or even when an update will provide the fix.
I searched through the forum. There are others with the same problem. But nobody listen to it.
Seems that nobody have a workaround. We have to wait for the first patch.
After pvz2 keeps crashing by joining... we tried pvz1...and the same problem. one game crashes when joining garden ops. Seems we get no update for this. I think its some kind of missing error message that you can't join other games in pvz.

- Yeah, by now I have given up on the support team. I have contacted them various times, I would almost say more than 20 at this point and nothing.
The "problem" seems to be my connection and maybe I didn't follow the steps "correctly". I even tried to send a video to a lead developer and someone working on PvZ and got either ignored or redirected to EA support.
I truly hope they are working desperately to solve this issue and trying not to address it other than just putting it off and virtually saying "screw you" to the targeted customers of this irritating issue. There is a patch out now. Can't try it today. Anybody knows what was patched?

- Yeah, no one seems to give a *. Keep saying its our Xbox/network. Whatever, let them keep their worst company of the year award. I'm done with this game.

Like I said, we are aware. Lots of people look at the forums we just dont always post, but we do look over the bugs

These kinds of bugs get frustrating. I appreciate your time in reading the forums and acknowledging this post. We don't mean to be pests. Thanks again. We look forward to getting this resolved.
We have the info from you guys but we havent been able to reproduce it here yet so it might take some time to figure out whats causing it

Got new clues. I think its not a problem of the client side where the game crashes. I found out that no one can join my backyard or play garden ops with me. I think I cause the other game to crash by joining me.
- Yeah, we know that. Still, you should be able to play any game online and any other game without issue. In my instance any game works fine, only this game in the particular instance of backyard crashing.
I'm fairly certain it is an issue in their client rather than ours. I found a workaround for me after three weeks. My hitron cve-30360 (cabel modem) causes other to crash by joining. I have an extra wireless router (tp-link wireless nano router) for guests. After a friend comes with his Xbox and we tried playing need for speed we have the same issue. His games crashes by joining my game. So I decided to connect my Xbox to my tp-link wireless router and it works. Can play garden ops with everyone and can host or join the backyard.
Hope that helps ea/pop cap to find a solition. Never have problems with the hitron cve-30360 bevor. Nat open of course.
- I don't think this will get fixed fellas. I'm seeing plenty of bugs/issues being patched within a timely fashion but this one is still being neglected. At least that is the impression I'm getting.
Bummer. - It isn't being neglected. They just can't replicate it so it's hard to fix something they can't replicate. As stated by the EA team in this topic a few posts up. Eventually it will be fixed. Patience. Until then the division is fun
- Does this have anything to do with the person that isn't crashing owns the game and you are getting it off them?
