I agree with you, it's very poorly implemented and only leads to frustration for many players. I've suggested before on this forum that the devs of any similar RNG thing should track the history of drops for important items, and adjust the RNG weighting accordingly. So for example. each time you open the chest it's currently a 75% chance. As you've correctly said, someone might end up taking months to "win" 4 times. What they should do is, for example, if the player has 1 from 2, then the next should be adjusted from 75% to 100%. That would put them at 2 from 3, which is 66% and still below the target 75% rate. At least it's close though. With such a system, everyone would have 4 keys in 4-6 events, and nobody would be this annoyed.
