When BfN changed Chomper up, one thing I initially liked was how their kit made the character more of a team player than before, but then they buffed grody goop too much and left it like it is now.
What may have worked better for a more team friendly goop is a patch of sticky goop that slows zombies down while in it and shortly after they leave it before it wears off (something along the lines of 2-3 seconds after leaving the patch), and it causes minor damage as the main purpose of goop in GW and GW2 is to slow the zombies down, damage is largely secondary, barring cheesy goop which is a special case.
I read that super sticky goop isn't as good as the default, but I use it the most in GW and GW2.

@Iron_Guard8 I think the best idea would be an alt goop with maybe a blue color that doesn't slow zombies but instead reveals their position to plants or lowers their damage/ increase cooldown times, basically butter beacon but not crap. Its just an idea to give chomper better team play but not at the cost of completely neutering the zombie team like grody goop did.
Cheesy goop feels like the blueprint to what became chomp cannon and imo chomp cannon feels better in that pure damage category.
I use super sticky more due to the fact that it prevents zombies from turning around faster and damage on goop isnt the reason I use it in the first place so the difference is negligible.
