- The hardware inside a PC is not limited to one spec, therefore the game can perform far more superiorly than consoles in split-screen.
- Currently the game has FULL controller support with either the 360, XB1, PS3, PS4 gamepads natively.
- PC's can be built small form-factor, eliminating the idea that PC's are too big for the living room. Or simply use a gaming Laptop.
- Steam have developed a TV friendly gaming interface called 'Big Picture' and 'SteamOS' which further enhances the ease of access to your library of games, music and more without having to use a keyboard or mouse, the interface can be integrated with PvZ: Garden Warfare by using the 'Add non-steam game' function.
- The resolution for playing games on PC can be output at 4K (3840 × 2160) which means the PC is far more suitable for local split-screen multiplayer as each player could have a FullHD (1920x1080) screen to them self in a 4-Player split-screen match.
- Not every console gamer has a massive TV anyway some only use a small screen in there bedrooms, lots of PC gamers have above "22 inch" Monitors which is about the same size as a small HD TV which is suitable.
- You can buy or build a PC for under £500 that can outperform consoles in terms of graphics and performance.
- PC's already support multiple controllers natively for many local split-screen games.

The difference this can make for the consumers in the long run could be highly beneficial as consoles and PC's are beginning to merge there technologies anyway, the idea of a living room PC or SteamMachine is a young one still and hopefully developers and the players will eventually acknowledge the great potential to including 'Local Multiplayer' features in PC games more often. This feature is often ripped from the PC version in other games and its important that we don't let this trend continue as it will affect the sales on PC since it's not the complete game, people should expect the same version of the same game, no matter what platform they are on.

Local Split Screen Would Not Be That Reasonable Because Most PC Shooters Use Keybord And Mouse. So Unless You Have A 360/1 Controller I Don't Think You Can Do Local Split Screen.
