Boss Hunt will be making a return to the garden in the future, standby for communication from Dr. Zomboss…soon'ish. 🙂
I don't see how it takes extra manpower to insert a boss hunt into the portal rotation.

It is ridiculous that boss hunt has not appeared for at least three months. I'm going to go one step further and say that it's outrageous.
Why? Because there are a total of 24 hats and three trophies for this game which one cannot achieve without having completed all four boss hunts at every difficulty level. I have all these things already, as do many of you. But if I were a newer player I would be seriously upset that I was not being given the opportunity to earn these trophies and prestigious hats.
It's time for the newer players to take to the PVZ twitter and begin to voice complaints on this topic. Seriously. I couldn't believe when the July calendar was released and still did not include a boss hunt. Lame, Popcap. You've already made it so that it's impossible for players to 100% the sticker book. But to keep a large percentage of the player base from being able to 100% the trophies in the game is an insult.
It was brought to my attention that you do not need DLC achievements to platinum a game - in this case the TOG achievements. While this ameliorates my concerns to a small degree, it doesn't really change my opinion in any significant way.
One of my big concerns is the Boss Hunt minion packs. It was so easy just to spend a few million coins( in 5 minutes or less) every 8-12 weeks for plants then for zombies and be done with it. I could remember one time after dropping 2 million I had hundreds of uplink bots. I just spent 40 minutes purchasing minion (all) packs and received 3 commons, 1 rare and 2 super rare uplinks for a total of 16 and got timed out twice. The only thing keeping me sane was my elliptical machine. lol
Anyhow it would be nice to have boss hunt minion packs a regular and boss hunts as part of ops or multiplayer.

If I had to guess, I would say that they probably get more complaints on their twitter about these events than they do about not having them. Same reason we keep getting legendary character stickers for community challenge when there are still seven special reward hats that haven't been offered. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
