Am I the only one that likes the new mix mode?

I can see people hating the chomp thing and how the chomper cant burrow if hit by the all star but I actually enjoy it a lot. If chompers were to burrow every time the all stars would loose all the time. Chomper is a sneaky class hidden behind places and waiting for their pray to come to them. just set a trap and try not to be in front of a all star because you will be knock back and wont be able to use burrow. Also try to work with your teammates if you can. If you have a mic try to speak with them. Also if you have the chomp cannon i recommend using it. Chances are your teammate will goop an all star and that will give you a chance to use the goop cannon. I understand if you hate the chomp thing hes not super good has the other chompers but hes not terrible either you just have to give him a chances. practice with him I use to use him a lot in GW1 and loved how he worked. Hope you all get 50 rainbow stars.

  • I've played enough rounds to not only open all of the Mystery Portal chests but also to refill the 50 Rainbow Star allotment and out of all of those games I'd have to say that it only reinforces my previous statements that "Serve and Volley" is not unbalanced in the way most people are complaining but I can concede that it's "unbalanced" in two very different ways;

    From a Win/Loss perspective the Tennis Stars have almost no chance of winning; out of the matches I've participated in Chomper won easily 90-95% of them with the a Tennis Stars rarely making it past the third Capture Point.

    From a purely Vanquish total perspective the Chomp Thing can't compete at all and since most players are just numbers-focused that seems to matter more.

    This is a mode where if you're playing the Chomp Thing and you're more concerned about numbers than playing the objective then look at your K/D ratio and if it is 1:1, or better, then you are doing really well and should take satisfaction from that.

    Otherwise if you find yourself on the Chomper team just be sneaky, use your head and defend those Gardens and have as much fun as you can doing it.

    As I've said before- not every Super Mix is going to please, or be fun for, everyone.

    I thought that chomp cannon might be a good idea as well, but I found the fire delay to be too much to be practical. Also, the shot speed is way too slow.

  • @drabbon I can certainly agree with your point on the chomp canon. With this particular mode I still feel it's the best choice. A good amount of damage at range. If you land it on anyone charging the garden, then you will at least get the shared and make it easier for your teammates. I've also been playing in a manor that has no regard for kd ratio.

    @dwooten77 if I'd worried about my k/d ratio in this mix mode, I'd have been reduced to tears. 🙂 for someone like myself who hates playing chomper, its been a learning experience but still fun.
    Just an FYI if youre playing tennis star. Spawn in heal zombies. Many a time these things have saved my * because they stay so close to you that a less experienced chomper will exit his burrow and chomp down on the heal zombie instead of you.
