I missed this one, so am late to reply.
I love how Crazy Dave is animated in GW2, and how his voice is a bit different too, although I like all 3 versions of him. Like @TheSprinter85 I actually love the weird random stuff he says in GW2 as it feels close to some of the special original PvZ interactions we had with him, and stuff like;'This one time, I lost a game of checkers to a sandwich!' always makes me grin.
Great character, more consistent than Zomboss (although reading Reddit comments, apparently Zomboss in BfN more closely matches him in the comics, which I haven't read), and one of the best things about PvZ in general; I want more Crazy Dave in a new shooter!
@Iron_Guard8The voice is different because gw1 used his pvz1/2 audio while gw2 is a gibberish combination of different languages.
On the whole zomboss being more like his comic counterpart: If they really want the games to be more in line with the comics than they need to go 100% or not at all because of all the things to pull from the comics zomboss' personality is one of the weaker aspects and it suffers from the aspect that if you never fead the comics it comes out of nowhere and you have no idea why just like mr stubbins who is an entirely random name in Bfn if you never read the comics, just like the pve region van looking like penny but never being used or acknowleded so it's only there for hardcore fans rather than normally introducing them to the casual audience (shame as she could make a nice announcer as a calculating straight man compared to Dave's more eccentric lines like have dave say something wierd than penny follows up with a translation like keep up the good work or something). I read some of the comics online but I never really cared that much about zomboss' personality. Making these callbacks or references only works if they have a reason to exist in the game otherwise it's the effect of memberberries.
