I am willing to put in the effort to earn the Unicorn Chomper but how can I put any effort if the first game is dead + there is a time limit.
so if I will go and try play in the first game it will just be a waste of time since no one plays and a better option is to let players put their efforts in the second game.

Is GW1 dead? I don't play it often, but when I do I always find a full team for garden ops.

I was talking about Gardens&Graveyard and in my first reply in this topic while I checked and yes it's dead, the picture I added can verify
^PC
even when the first game was active people actually played Gardens&Graveyard(more coins and still enjoyable), it was mostly the only mode people played in the game and very rarely other modes.- 9 years ago

Oh look. Someone else unlocked the UniChomper by maxing their rank in GW1.

I have no idea whether this is the case for the XBox or PC communities but I can say that the GW1 community on PS4 is still active; it may not be super crowded but there are definitely still enough people playing Gardens and Graveyards to get a decent game started so for PS4 players at least unlocking the Unicorn Chomper is still possible and just needs the investment of time.

Fairly packed games on Xbox as well, generally always completely full. Occasionally you'll see 313ers sticking around, I was in a game with four of them once for a good hour or so (before I hit 313 myself).
PC is the one exception for this game. Even for GW2, not all game modes on PC are filled all the time - but every game mode I've ever been in for both games on Xbox always has players for all modes. You need a minimum of 4 players for a Gardens and Graveyards game to start, so this may no longer be possible for PC... at the very least outside of peak hours.
